The SIGATOKA TOWN COUNCIL was created by statute in 1959, to cater for health, welfare and convenience of residents of the place designated as the Sigatoka Town. The council comprises of three Wards and various departments. Sigatoka Town Council in Fiji clearly committed to developing its human resources for a better town tomorrow where freedom and tolerance breed peace and harmony permitting industry and commerce to proper for the benefit of all. OBJECTIVES
To fulfill our statutory responsibilities in the area of health, town planning, traffic and entertainment of Sigatoka residents.
To provide adequate space for future expansion and the development needs of the town.
To maintain and add to existing facilities and services that meet community needs and where possibly exceed present service.
To reduce congestion and overcrowded in the town.
To provide adequate financial resources to meet the towns expenditure and ensure secure custody a proper accounting and reporting on the use of the town’s resources and assets.
To manage human resource employed in the delivery of municipal goods and services to the Sigatoka Community.
